Venezia Lowis believes beauty lies within and cannot help radiating out of a person. For her fashion and style simply adorn and enhance what is already present. She specialises in women’s wear and loves creating something enchanting.
"I'm in a love-hate relationship with my own passion. I think me and fashion were a match made since in the womb... My mother had a very unusual craving, she drew fashion figures all through her pregnancy right until before I was born."
Venezia started learning how to sew by herself at the age of 7. She also loved drawing fashion figures wearing different clothes. It led her to explore more about fashion design, sewing technique, and pattern drafting.
Fast forward to July 2011, she earned a fashion design diploma from Lasalle College International. She then became a recommended student to work as a fashion design assistant of a well-known Indonesian couture fashion designer.
Venezia also was offered a position as a stylist and a Do It Yourself fashion contributor of some famous local fashion magazines in Indonesia. She also designed and sewed recycled shopping bags for the Climate Forum in Copenhagen, Denmark. Danish Countess Alexandra, Princess of Denmark, is known to possess one of the shopping bags.
In 2012-2015, she ran her own couture line, making evening gowns, formal dresses, and wedding gowns to the custom wishes of her clients. She also started a Batik line called Kurawa Batik.
Beginning from 2015, Venezia became a fashion Do-It-Yourself vlogger on YouTube. She published many sewing tutorials and clothes transformation. Her videos reached 3 million views per video and she was awarded the silver play button.
Now, in the end of this year 2019, Venezia will be launching her very first “Venezia Lowis” Ready To Wear collection.
